What's New?

  1. Program Evaluation for Northern Alberta: the purpose of this Project is to evaluate the programs from the point of view of Parents, Children/Youth, Facilitators and Coordinators. We will use surveys, and possibly focus groups, in order to obtain the information we need, not only to make improvements in programs, but also to strengthen promotion and fund-raising, both for FFIT and the Sites.

  2. Program Research Project: we are gathering information on programs and materials which help children and families cope with loss and transitions, particularly divorce and separation, in order to support the Sites we work with.

  3. Facilitator Training Video Project: by using "actors" to simulate real-life support group sessions, our purpose is to demonstrate some of the facilitation, listening and coaching skills required for effective facilitation of peer support groups.

We will be contacting our partner Sites, inviting them to assist with some aspects of the above projects. We will of course share what we will learn with our program partners, so everyone could benefit.
